Easter egg hunts are super fun but what about once the hunt is over?
Mostly eggs are stored in baskets but what if you could use your empty egg cartons to create a real chocolate treat. These decorated cartons are super easy to make, fun to get the kids involved and a cute and quirky way to gift Easter eggs.
What you need
- Empty egg carton
- 2 x tissue paper (one large enough to wrap around the carton and one to place under each egg)
- Printed tape
- Organza and satin ribbons
- Glue or double-sided tape
What to do
Remove any labelling around the carton so it doesn’t show through the tissue.
Wrap tissue around the carton. You can use wrapping paper but tissue is easier to manipulate around the corners of the carton.
Secure and style the edges with printed tape.
For the inside, cut the other tissue paper in small rectangle pieces (one for each egg). Position each rectangle tissue piece on top of each egg holder in the carton and push down the tissue using an Easter egg.
For the lid, decorate with printed tape as you desire and finish the look with an organza bow and a thin satin bow. Secure them with glue or double sided tape.
And there you have it! A simple yet stylish way to store your Easter eggs! Enjoy!
