hearts for bubbas project for SIDS and KIDS

origami heart and baby

I never need an excuse to make origami hearts but if I did need one, this reason couldn’t be better!

This year I’m thrilled to be raising funds for SIDS and KIDS as part of Red Nose Day. For every donation I receive between 24 May and 24 June, I’ll fold one origami heart. Here’s hoping that in one month I will have a beautiful set of origami hearts that I can use to create artwork which I will then donate to SIDS and KIDS.

According to SIDS and KIDS, every year in Australia over 3,500 families experience sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child. SIDS and KIDS is a wonderful not-for-profit organisation that supports research into stillbirth, SIDS and safe sleeping. It also supports bereaved families and provides community education to prevent these deaths.

Personally, upon the arrival of my little one, SIDS and KIDS Safe Sleeping resources were invaluable in ensuring my little bubba went to sleep in as safe environment as possible.
